“IF THE WORLD HATES YOU – BEAR IN MIND THAT IT HATED ME FIRST” (John 15:18)
Who among us would idolise
a lawbreaker? Yet, Jesus Christ was arrested for crimes against society
and his death – by crucifixion – was that of a criminal. But, who was to
blame? The Priests? The Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate? The “puppet”
king, Herodias? Or perhaps even Jesus himself? The inevitable chain of
events leading to the most famous execution of all time as seen through
the eyes of Judas Iscariot is encapsulated in our original and
provocative production of Lloyd-Webber & Rice’s rock musical “Jesus
Christ Superstar” |
